The Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) is excited to announce the re-appointment of Jason Stevens as Head Coach of the BFNL Under 18 Interleague team for the 2027 representative campaign.
The appointment marks Stevens' third consecutive year at the helm of the League's Under 18 representative program, providing valuable continuity as the BFNL continues to develop and showcase the region's emerging football talent.
Following two successful campaigns, Stevens will once again guide the League's brightest young footballers as they prepare to represent the BFNL on the interleague stage. In 2027, the squad will hit the road as they travel away from home to continue the League's representative program.
“It’s an absolute privilege to be asked to lead the Bendigo FNL Under 18 program again in 2027. This will be my tenth year involved in BFNL interleague football as either a coach or assistant coach, and I really value the friendships and relationships I have built across that time.”
“Over the past couple of years the league has built some really positive momentum around interleague and I am looking forward to continuing to work with Simon, Tom, the Board and our clubs to keep strengthening what we have started.”

BFNL Manager Tom King said Stevens had demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the League's representative program and was the ideal person to continue leading the Under 18 squad.

With a road trip to North-East Victoria on the cards for 2027, planning for the next Interleague campaign is already underway, with further announcements regarding the coaching panel and schedules to be made in the coming months.
