Rymer to lead BFNL Open Representative Netball Coach in 2026
The Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Tarryn Rymer as the Head Coach of the BFNL Open representative netball team for 2026.
Joining Tarryn will be Jayden Cowling, who will serve as an assistant coach and form part of the squad's selection panel. Jayden brings extensive experience and a deep knowledge of the game at the highest level, ensuring the team’s selection process and preparation are of the highest standard.
Tarryn and Jayden’s re-appointment comes after the BFNL didn’t field an Open representative netball team in 2025 for Netball Victoria’s Association Championships due to player availability relating to eligibility rules for players aligned to the Victoria Netball League.
Headlining the Open teams schedule will be an Interleague clash with the Ovens & Murray FNL on May 23 at the QEO. While the 2026 Netball Victoria Association Championships will remain on the team’s schedule pending player eligibility.
BFNL General Manager, Tom King said “We are delighted to have Tarryn and Jayden back at the helm of our Open representative netball team and can’t wait to see the team prepare for a 2026 schedule that includes our huge matchup against the O&M on 23 May.”
Preparations for the squad have already commenced with a formal schedule including information on player nominations and trials to be announced early in 2026.
