Rosa re-appointed as BFNL Senior Interleague Head Coach
The Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Simon Rosa as Senior Interleague Head Coach for the 2027 representative season.
Rosa will enter his third consecutive year at the helm of the BFNL senior representative program, following a successful campaign that culminated in an impressive victory over the Ovens & Murray Football Netball League in May.
The win reinforced the strength of the BFNL competition and continued the momentum built under Rosa's leadership, with the league now turning its attention to another exciting representative campaign in 2027.
Rosa said he was honoured to once again be entrusted with leading the league's best players.
"It's a privilege to be re-appointed as Senior Interleague Coach and I'm incredibly grateful for the confidence the league has shown in me," Rosa said.
"Representing the BFNL is something our players take enormous pride in, and the performance against Ovens & Murray showed what can be achieved when everyone buys into a common goal."
"We've built a strong culture over the past two years and I'm excited by the opportunity to continue developing that group.
BFNL Chair Brett Fitzpatrick said Rosa had earned the opportunity to lead the league for a third successive season.
"Simon has done an outstanding job over the past two years, creating an environment where our best players are proud to represent the BFNL and play for one another," Fitzpatrick said.
"Our victory over the Ovens & Murray in May was a fantastic reward for the commitment of Simon, his coaching staff and playing group, and it demonstrated the quality of football within our competition."
With a road trip to North-East Victoria on the cards for 2027, planning for the next Interleague campaign is already underway, with further announcements regarding the coaching panel and schedules to be made in the coming months.
