Donnellon rejoins McPherson as co-coach of the 2026 BFNL 17 & Under Netball Program

The BFNL is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Sharni McPherson as co-coach of the BFNL 17 & Under Representative Netball Team for the upcoming tournament season. Joining Sharni as co-coach will be Nikki Donnellon.

Sharni, who has been at the helm of the 17 & Under team since 2022, returns for her fifth BFNL 17 & Under campaign. While Nikki returns to the role after being co-coach with Sharni from 2022-24 before taking a year away in 2025.

Sharni and Nikki are highly respected and proven leaders within the Bendigo netball community making them perfect pairing to once again lead the BFNL’s brightest young netball talent.

In 2025 the BFNL 17 & Under Rep team went undefeated through the tournament season, making to the Melbourne Association Championships where the team put in a huge effort on the day in what was a fantastic opportunity for the whole squad.

The upcoming weeks will see the finalisation of the team’s 2026 schedule, including details on player nominations and trial dates. Further announcements will follow soon, giving all eligible players an opportunity to showcase their skills and secure their place in the squad.

We look forward to seeing the dynamic leadership of Sharni and Nikki guiding the team through a 2026 rep netball campaign that includes our May 23 encounter with the Ovens & Murray FNL at the QEO.
