Stevens said “We’re excited to announce our initial 54-man squad for the Under 19 interleague campaign. Our coaching and support staff have been closely watching matches over the opening rounds, and we’re confident we’ve pulled together a strong squad featuring talent from right across all BFNL clubs.”
“This squad may be expanded in the coming weeks before we narrow it down to a final training group of 34 to 35 players by mid-June.” Stevens added.
When chatting about the BFNL’s commitment to Interleague football, Stevens added “The league is throwing fantastic support behind the interleague program at both Senior and Under 19 level, and we can’t wait to get stuck into it.”
The program kicks off with an information session for all players selected in the initial squad on Sunday, May 4, from 10:30am at the Bendigo Club. The session is a must added for all players and will outline key details about the program and give players a chance to meet the coaching team and each other ahead of the campaign.
The initial squad will be narrowed to a 34-35 player training squad before the squads first training session on 18 June.
If you have any questions about the introductory session or the program as a whole, please contact Jason Stevens on 0409 705 221 or Tom King on 0439 829 650.
