As part of our 2026 BFNL Rising Star Award presented by Bart n Print, we are going through each Club's nominees and next is Kangaroo Flat FNC.

The Kangaroos have nominated Ty Farmer &Jarrell Ratcliffe as their football nominees and Alexis Manson & Peyton Chambers as their netballers. 

Alexis Manson

Lexi has emerged as an exciting young midcourt talent for Kangaroo Flat, with her speed and versatility allowing her to make an impact across all three midcourt positions.

Reliable with ball in hand, Manson combines her composure and clean skills with accurate feeding into the goal circle, consistently creating opportunities for her attacking teammates.

Her development has been recognised through selection in the 2026 BFNL Under 17 Representative Team.

With her athleticism, versatility and ability to influence games across the midcourt, Manson is an exciting young player with a bright future in the BFNL.

Peyton Chambers

Peyton has quickly established herself as an exciting young goaler for Kangaroo Flat, combining composure under pressure with accuracy and a strong presence in the circle.

A reliable target who consistently provides an option for her teammates, Chambers plays with a maturity well beyond her years and has demonstrated the ability to remain composed in important moments.

Her talent has already been recognised through selection in the 2026 BFNL Under 17 Representative Team before being talent identified at Association Championships.

A talented local product with plenty of potential, Chambers has a bright future ahead and is one to watch as her netball career continues to develop.

Jarrell Ratcliffe

Jarrell has made an immediate impact at senior level for Kangaroo Flat, establishing himself as an exciting young midfielder who has shown he is more than capable of competing in Bendigo senior football while still eligible for Under 18s.

An athletic ball winner, Ratcliffe combines his ability to win his own football with strong aerial skills and an impressive capacity to hit the scoreboard from the midfield.

His ability to quickly adapt to the club's game structure and perform with confidence beyond his years has made him a valuable addition to the Kangaroos.

Ratcliffe has also gained valuable experience through 12 Bendigo Pioneers matches across 2025 and 2026.

Tyran Farmer

Tyran has emerged as one of Kangaroo Flat's most promising young key defenders, combining strong aerial ability, impressive closing speed and the reach to impact contests even when out of position.

Farmer regularly takes on some of the competition's best forwards and continues to demonstrate that he is more than capable of matching them, attacking the football with courage and consistently competing at a high level.

His development has been recognised through a runner-up finish in the Kangaroo Flat Under 18 Best and Fairest in 2025, while his experience across both junior and senior football has provided a strong foundation for his future.
